Extract your vehicle or quad from mud, snow, or other terrain with a heavy duty power winch. We love WARN because of their reputation for quality and reliability.
You can choose your capacity and your line material (steel cable or synthetic rope). We like the synthetic rope but their are pros and cons to each.
Ever been stuck in the mud in your vehicle? Winches are incredibly handy in an outdoor emergency. Tie off on an tree or other firm anchor and you can usually extract yourself pretty easily.
Use your winch to extract a vehicle from mud or snow, lift a heavy object (i.e. engine) with a single hand, or remove a large log from a road. Actions like this and many more can be done with your power winch.
Last Spring we took a quad trip. We left in the morning when the snow was firm. By afternoon the snow had softened. We almost made it to the trucks but one of the rigs got severly stuck when the snow gave way and it high-centered. We had a winch on the quad and were able to get out by anchoring to a tree and pulling outselves out.
We like synthetic rope instead of cable for the weight reasons and they don't produce metal burrs. They both perform well for tensile strength. If you need abrasion resistence go with a steel cable.
