Trail Purpose

The Hydroblu water filter is a highly rated very effective water filtration option for trail and outdoor use. We highly recommend it for daypacks, backpacks, and vehicle storage. We've used our filters dozens of times this year when we've run out of water or others around us have under prepared. 

The high-performance 0.1 Micron absolute inline filter fits in the palm of your hand and weighs just 2 ounces. It removes 99.99999% of all bacteria (salmonella, cholera, and E. coli); removes 99.9999% of all protozoa (such as giardia and cryptosporidium); also removes 100% of microplastics. 

Every filter is built to exacting standards and exceeds EPA standards for filtration. The Versa Flow has many tiny tubes called hollow fiber. Hollow fiber works through size exclusion. Meaning the hollow fiber tubes have thousands of tiny holes (0.1 microns) that block 99.9999% of harmful bacteria. We filter water through the outside of the tubes by bending the hollow fiber. This dramatically increases the surface area and flow rate of the filter while protecting the filter integrity itself.

In an outdoor situation finding and purifying water can be a lifesaving activity. This filter should be at the top of the list for trail gear purchases.

Tips and Recommendations

• Clean the filter - Use the back wash plunger regularly to make sure the inlet remains usable.
• Cap - keep the cap on the clean water end of the filter so germs don't get inside.
• Multiple - these filters are affordable, get one for each vehicle and pack.
